The Wedding Industry Awards 2017 Regional Finalist - Wedding DJ - London and South East

How many years have you been a DJ for?

I have been DJ’ing since the late 90s, as a mobile disco and as a bar DJ in well known high street bars including Lloyds Number 1 bar, Yates and Reflex. I have also broadcast on commercial radio stations across the south of England since 1998, including Isle of Wight Radio.

Why don’t you have different packages like other discos?

I don’t believe in charging you more for a better light display or sound system – I will always bring the right sound system for your venue.  My rates are based on the event location and length of the disco.

Do you need a deposit and when is the balance due?

Yes, a deposit of £150 is required to secure your booking.  The balance is then due at least 1 week ahead of the event.  Should you cancel the event, you will lose any monies already paid.

What methods of payment do you accept?

I accept payment via cash, direct bank transfer, credit/debit card and cheque.  If paying by cheque, please ensure sufficient time is made for the cheque to clear ahead of your event.

Do we receive a written contract?

Yes, it’s important that both parties fully understand what is being provided, therefore a written contract is provided as part of the booking process, and once booked you’ll receive written confirmation of my attendance.

What will you wear?

This is entirely down to you!  You can select what I wear on the online planner.  Where there isn’t a dress code request, I will wear smart trousers and a shirt.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have £10 million Public Liability Insurance.  Most venues require the mobile disco that you book to have this level of insurance. My equipment is also fully PAT tested.

Do you charge VAT?

No, the price quoted is the full price you will pay.

Where will you set up?

I am flexible with where I am placed.  I advise the pre-event meeting taking place at the venue so that the location of the mobile nightclub can be discussed.  All I require is 2 x 13amp sockets to power the equipment.  By working together to discuss a suitable location for the disco, I can advise on locations that would be best suited for a disco, with a dancing area in front, and away from “walkthroughs”.

Can you set up earlier in the day?

I am happy to accommodate any request, provided I am made aware of this at the time of booking so that I can quote accordingly and schedule you in the diary correctly.

We want to book a band as well – can you work alongside them?

Absolutely.  As long as I know in advance of the event, I can discuss the best location for both the band and my setup.  I will co-ordinate with the band to work through timings and song choices to ensure both types of entertainment work in harmony.
